Moustafa Hamada is the founder of MH Squash and the Head Men’s Squash Coach at Trinity College. As a former Trinity player and team captain, he knows exactly what it takes to succeed both on and off the court. During his own college career, he helped lead Trinity to two national championships and four conference titles, finishing with one of the best playing records in program history.
Before becoming head coach at Trinity, Coach Hamada spent four years coaching at Princeton University, where he worked with some of the top junior and professional players in the world, including national champions and world-ranked athletes. He has also been part of both the U.S. and Egyptian national team programs and has coached at junior camps across the country and overseas.
When he returned to Trinity in 2022, he quickly made an impact, helping the team reach the national finals, and guiding players to some of their best individual results including winning an individual championship. In his first two seasons as head coach, his team reached a national championship final and semi-final respectively, coached numerous All-Americans, as well as earning the NESCAC Coaching Staff of the Year award twice.
For juniors, Moustafa's approach is all about combining learning, intensity and fun. He believes that squash can teach important life skills like focus, discipline, teamwork, and resilience. At the same time, he makes sure practices are engaging and exciting so that young players enjoy being on court. His philosophy is simple: every child should leave the court with more confidence than when they walked on, whether they are just starting out or competing at a high level.
Moustafa tailors his coaching to each player’s needs to help juniors set goals, improve their skills to be the best version themselves, and discover a love for the game that can last a lifetime.
